Mission Statement

Our vision is to be a ministry reaching out to the community and around the world where we can show the love of Jesus Christ to all, with compassion and dedication, knowing God is the bearer of all good things.

History

In 1979, several Christian women were discussing how quickly children outgrow their clothes and decided that Crozet needed a place for folks to share outgrown, usable clothing. That summer, the Green Olive Tree was born at the Brownsville Market Fruit Stand. We have had various homes since then; we moved to our current location in 2011. We continue to be blessed by our Lord with support from our community through volunteers and donations.

The Green Olive Tree is staffed exclusively by volunteers. Many people benefit from the hours of service and the generous donations of the residents in Crozet and surrounding communities.
